Group for Legal and Political Studies (GLPS) held second Media Brunch
On 30 October 2026, the Group for Legal and Political Studies (GLPS) organised a media brunch at Soma Book Station in Prishtina, bringing together representatives from KatroR Media, ATV, A2 CNN, RTK, and BIRN/Prishtina Insight to discuss the role of the media in reporting on Kosovo’s Public Administration Reform (PAR) and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between media outlets and civil society organisations.
The meeting was attended by GLPS Executive Director Njomza Arifi, Programme Manager Ema Pula, and Project Manager Renata Bajrami. Discussions focused on the importance of proactive communication, transparency, and institutional accountability, particularly in ensuring citizens have access to timely and accurate information about ongoing reforms and institutional performance. Participants highlighted challenges faced by journalists and civil society organisations, including limited access to official information and data, insufficient institutional responsiveness, and the tendency for daily political developments to overshadow longer-term reform processes due to competing editorial priorities and limited journalistic capacities. Particular attention was given to strengthening cooperation through systematic information-sharing, timely dissemination of research and monitoring findings, and joint efforts to increase public awareness of reform-related issues. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, identify common challenges, and explore practical approaches to improving media coverage, strengthening public scrutiny of institutions, and ensuring sustained attention to progress and outstanding challenges in public administration reform.
The event was organised within the framework of the WeBER 3.0 project (Western Balkan Enablers for Reforming Public Administrations), funded by the European Union and implemented by the Think for Europe Network (TEN).
